The president of the Renewable Generation Association (AGR A.G.), Jaime Toledo, was invited to present before the Chilean Senate's Mining and Energy Commission, where the bill seeking to expand electricity subsidy coverage and improve Law No. 18.410— which regulates the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels (SEC)— was discussed.
During his presentation, Toledo shared AGR's perspective on the implications of this legislation for the development of renewable energy, the sustainability of the electricity system, and the protection of the most vulnerable consumers. In this regard, he highlighted that contracts with renewable energy companies are significantly cheaper, which could help lower electricity bills for all Chileans.
